LORD OF THE DANCE will celebrate its 30th anniversary in Slovakia in 2026!
Michael Flatley is planning a spectacular Lord of the Dance tour for 2026, marking 30 years of this famous Irish dance troupe on stages around the world. The dance show, beloved by audiences, will return to Slovakia and delight its fans on November 20 in Bratislava and November 22 in Košice!
Since its premiere in Dublin in 1996, Lord of the Dance has performed in more than a thousand arenas and theaters across sixty different countries on five continents. They have been seen by over 70 million spectators, ranking them among the most successful dance performances of all time and embodying Flatley’s lifelong credo: “Nothing is impossible; follow your dream.”
Michael Flatley’s phenomenal show not only introduced Irish dance to the whole world, but it literally catapulted this art form to stellar heights, bringing it unprecedented global recognition and, above all, deeply into the hearts and minds of audiences. Flatley’s Lord of the Dance dazzles audiences with a unique combination of the energy of vibrant Irish dance, original music, a fairy-tale story, and sensuality. The secret to its enormous success lies in the fact that it appeals to audiences around the world regardless of age, gender, language, or cultural background. This timelessness and universal appeal make *Lord of the Dance* one of the wonders of the modern world—a myth, a living legend. The Los Angeles Times described the performance as a “masterful and spectacular spectacle” that transports audiences to mythical places and captivates their hearts by combining graceful movement with precisely synchronized dance and artistic stage design.
Revamped dance numbers, state-of-the-art visual technology and sound, a spectacular lighting design, stunning costumes, new music by composer Gerard Fahy, and 40 of the most talented young artists from around the world under the direct artistic direction of dance genius Michael Flatley—this is *Lord of the Dance 2026*.
“I can’t wait for Lord of the Dance to return to European stages in 2026. I feel like this is the most important tour in our 30-year history! Art is irreplaceable. I hope we’ll lift people’s spirits and put smiles back on their faces.”
Once you’ve experienced Lord of the Dance, you’ll never settle for anything less when it comes to Irish dance. In 2026, the show will perform twice in Slovakia: on November 20 at 7:00 p.m. at the TIPOS Arena in Bratislava and on November 22 at the STEEL Arena in Košice.
